"With Argentina needing a 4-0 win against Peru to reach the 1978 World Cup final, Videla agreed to receive and imprison 13 Peruvian political dissidents and once the game was won, 6-0, a large shipment of grain was transferred from Argentina.
"Financial Times journalist Simon Kuper gave an excellent interview to the BBC arguing that the world’s governing body will not investigate the 1978 World Cup because it would open up a massive can of worms.
"FIFA would also be forced to investigate South Korea’s wins over Spain and Italy in 2002, for example."
