news-today.world | On March 17, 2018 Deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputies participated in a Sobriety Check Point with the Pocomoke City Police in the area of Ocean Highway and Brantley Road, Pocomoke Worcester Maryland 21851.
A Deputy smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from one of the vehicles that came through the check point. A search of the vehicle was conducted. The Deputy located a loaded 40 caliber handgun in the glove box of the vehicle. Deputies also recovered a small amount of raw marijuana from the driver, who was identified as Camiri Custis, 31 of Melfa Virginia. Mr. Custis was placed under arrest for illegal transport of a handgun in vehicle. Mr. Custis was released pending trial from the District Court Commissioner.
