news-today.world | On March 6, 2018, Larry McArthur, age 46, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, pled guilty of First Degree Assault in the Circuit Court for Wicomico County. Judge Daniel W. Powell sentenced McArthur to 20 years of active incarceration in the Division of Corrections
The charges stem from a July 7, 2007 shooting on Saratoga Street, in Salisbury. McArthur and a group of individuals arrived at a Saratoga Street home in the evening and began vandalizing a vehicle belonging to one of the residents due to a financial dispute. Another resident exited the house and was then chased by Larry McArthur and shot twice in the back with a handgun. The victim eventually made a full recovery.
Wicomico County State’s Attorney Jamie Dykes commended Detective Sabrina Metzger, Maryland State Police, Deputy Benjamin Parsons, Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office and other members of the Maryland State Police and Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office for their work in the investigation and prosecution of this case. Mrs. Dykes also thanked Assistant State’s Attorney James “Bo” McAllister who prosecuted this case.
