news-today.world | On February 28, 2018, Richard Davidson Moise, age 26, of Salisbury, was convicted by a Wicomico County jury of 56 counts, including five counts of Armed Robbery and five counts of Use of a Handgun in the Commission of Felony.
On December 9, 2016, just before 6 pm, five masked individuals, two of whom were armed with handguns, entered the Bank of Delmarva on Eastern Shore Drive in Salisbury, Maryland. Mr. Moise collected the money while two other suspects brandished firearms at bank employees. The suspects ordered bank employees to the ground at gun point and bound three bank tellers with zip ties. The suspects took over $11,000 in cash from the bank, as well as some personal property from the bank employees. The majority of personal items and all the stolen money were recovered through the investigative efforts of the police. Sentencing in the case has been delayed pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation.
Wicomico County State’s Attorney Jamie Dykes commended the members of the Salisbury City Police Department Road Patrol and Criminal Investigations Division, for their work in the investigation. She specifically thanked Detective Caputo, the lead investigator. State’s Attorney Dykes also thanked Assistant State’s Attorney Jared Monteiro, who prosecuted this case.
