news-today.world | President Donald Trump demanded Congress end both "chain migration" and the diversity visa lottery program, saying Tuesday they pose a danger to national security, The Hill reported.

Trump said the legal immigration programs were to blame for two recent terror attacks in New York City, since that is how the terrorists in each incident legally entered the United States.

"We're gonna end both of them," Trump said. "We're going to end 'em. Fast," adding, "Congress must get involved immediately, and they are involved immediately, and I can tell you we have tremendous support."

Trump was commenting following revelations New York City terror suspect Akayed Ullah, who on Monday tried to detonate a bomb in the city’s subway system, came to the U.S. from Bangladesh in 2011 on a visa for children of siblings of American citizens, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
