news-today.world | BALTIMORE — An after-school program serving underprivileged kids in east Baltimore was hit by thieves Monday. Christmas gifts for more than 90 students are gone.
Kenny Orsot had just left The Club at Collington Monday morning before the robbers came in.
"The thieves busted through the back door in the kitchen around 10 a.m. Monday morning. They had masks on their face and they made their way through the building and into the room where the gifts were stored," Orsot said.
Orsot, a teacher in the after-school program, said that two men stole food, clothes, coats, toys and whatever else they could fit in their arms. When they ran into the director, they busted her lip and pushed her down.
"I'm just happy that she's OK. She's a little shaken up, but she's strong, and she's with us here today," Orsot said.
